Greens achieved historic gains across the country in the election, winning seats from both Labour and the Conservatives! A record-breaking vote share and 4 constituency victories show just how much our party is growing. All of us are determined to honour the mandate that has been given to us and hold the new government to account by continuing to advocate for our values and principles in the new parliament.
Locally, we achieved a record result in Twickenham and retained our deposit in both our constituencies. All of us at the Richmond & Twickenham Green Party would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who supported our constituency candidates on July 4th. Together with Green voters nationwide, you have sent a clear message to the other parties and the new Labour government: our campaign for real hope and real change cannot be ignored! Thank you for once again demonstrating the enduring strength and resilience of the Green movement.
